Tindersticks: The Waiting Room

Tindersticks: The Waiting Room

29 April - 8 May 2016

In January 2016 tindersticks released their 10th studio album The Waiting Room.  It will be their first studio album since 2012's acclaimed The Something Rain.

Tindersticks’ new album ‘The Waiting Room’ is a milestone not just numerically (their 10th), but musically and creatively. Their first studio album since 2012’s critically acclaimed ‘The Something Rain'  is the most ambitious, diverse and elaborate album you’ll have heard from Tindersticks in recent years. Two decades into their musical voyage Tindersticks, established masters of restraint and poetic human emotion, are a band now confidently creating the best songs of their career.

'The Waiting Room' is not only an album. It is also an ambitious collaborative film project. Each track is accompanied by a short film, a visual interpretation by it's own director, featuring Christoph Girardet, Pierre Vinour, Claire Denis, Rosie Pedlow and Joe King, Gregorio Graziosi, Richard Dumas and Gabriel Sanna.

This MBM tour is a one-off opportunity to experience the immersive result of this collaboration as Tindersticks perform 'The Waiting Room' live in concert settings accompanied by the films projected on a cinematic scale.

"... the triumphant declaration of a band shapeshifting with sophistication." - Guardian - 4 stars ****

"...a new dynamic, finding both grace and fever in their conversation." - Uncut - 8/10
